Evaluation and Grading Structure

  • Students go through an ‘On-going Evaluation’ system throughout the Academic Year.

 

  • Students are evaluated in their academic subjects, their conduct, effort, Physical Excellence, Socio-Emotional Excellence and Co-curricular Activities.

 

  • Approximately every five to six weeks, students receive a progress report that shows the progress they achieve in their academic programmes, conduct, effort, residential programmes and activities.

 

  • The Academic Grading is based on a scale of 0-100 percent, and the Effort and Conduct Grade in a 1 to 5 rubric.

 

Periodic Performance Evaluations (PPE):

  • Students are evaluated in each subject during their Periodic Performance Evaluations through:
    • A series of written, oral, aural tests o Project works
    • Presentations
    •  
    • Assignments o Research

 

  • At the end of the Academic Year, students will receive a cumulative assessment report based on the scores of all the 5 Periodic Performance Evaluations along with their Skills-based Examination at the end of the year.

 

  • The Periodic Performance Evaluations for Grade X is based solely on a series of written tests in all subjects.

 

Honour Roll:

  • Honour Rolls are posted at the end of the Periodic Performance Periods. The Honour Rolls are based on the following:

 

PRINCIPAL’S MERIT LIST

  • The Principal’s Merit List is posted at the end of the Periodic Performance Evaluations.

 

  • Students included on the Principal’s Merit List must meet the following criteria:
    • GPA of 2.8 and above in all subjects
    • GPA of ‘3.6’ or above in any one Full-Credit Subject
    • OPA of ‘2.8’ or above in Physical Excellence and Socio-Emotional areas.
    • ‘2’ and above in all the Effort and Conduct Grades

 

GOOD CONDUCT LIST

  • The Good Conduct List will be posted at the end of the Periodic Performance Evaluations.

 

  • Students included on the Good Conduct List on the basis of the following:
    • GPA of ‘3.6’ in any one Full-Credit Subject or in any two Half-Credit Subjects
    • ‘2’ and above in all the Effort and Conduct Grades.
    • OPA of ‘2.8’ or above in Physical Excellence and Socio-Emotional areas.
    • No Review Grades
